Nadine Hawryluk B.Sc. RMT

My goal is to provide a massage experience that is comfortable, safe and effective. I want you to walk out of an appointment knowing that the bodywork you received is achieving your personal goal, be it complete relaxation or the reduction of tension and pain. I aim to be an open and knowledgeable therapist and will often send you home with exercises or information to further the massage and maintain your wellness. My treatments can be gentle and restful, deep and dynamic or anything in between.
I have always been fascinated with the human body. From the time time I was able to flip through books, I would look at pictures of the inner workings of the human form. When I graduated high school it was clear that I wanted to further my study by obtaining a degree in Biology from the University of British Columbia. However it wasn’t until I was faced with my own healing journey that I discovered bodywork in the form of Shiatsu, which I found incredibly effective (even if it was given on the floor of a hostel in New Zealand).
I decided that I wanted to work with people in a direct way and chose to study Shiatsu Therapy in Vancouver. Once I graduated I added on certificates in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Indian Head Massage and later my first degree in Reiki. After working in a few settings, it was natural for me to complete my diploma in Registered Massage Therapy at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Victoria BC.
I am so thankful to be working with people to achieve the health and wellness they desire and to be practicing in Courtenay B.C!
When I’m not providing a treatment, I will likely be out for a walk in the trees or having a cup of tea, enjoying the company of friends (both the four and two-legged varieties)
